Chimney sweeps are exposed to significant health risks such as cancer due to contact with hazardous substances (e.g. PAHs – polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons). This danger is explicitly highlighted in the AUVA safety information (www.auva.at). The unique Oxy3 process now offers an effective way to address this risk. Tested in firefighting operations: Laboratory-tested PAH degradation
PAH analyses conducted by an accredited analytical laboratory confirm the reduction of PAHs after a 90-minute Oxy3 treatment: both the outer and inner fabric layers, as well as the membrane, are decontaminated. All PAHs were reduced below OEKO-TEX guideline values, many even below the detection limits.
